Our Story — 125+ Years of Family, Farm, and Ice Cream
125+ years of heritage from Sandusky, Ohio. Thirteen family farm partnerships. rBST-free milk. Real ice cream from real families.
The beginning
Toft Dairy started in 1900 in Sandusky, Ohio — Ohio's oldest dairy — with a simple bet: that you could make ice cream as good as anywhere in America if you started with the best ingredients you could find and didn't compromise. More than a century later, we still haven't.
We're still here. Still small enough to care. Still hand-churning. Still refusing the easy shortcuts.
Taste the difference
The Toft family · Sandusky, Ohio
Thirteen farms. Fifty miles. Real cream.
Their milk became our milk. Their rBST-free commitment became our standard. When we hand-churn ice cream, we're tasting decades of farming decisions behind every flavor.
Family farms
Relationships measured in decades — not purchase orders.
rBST-free milk
No artificial growth hormones. Cream that tastes like cream.
Clean-label 2026
Clearer claims on the carton. Same hand-churned standard.
